1. Booking & Payment
To confirm your safari booking, we require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour cost. The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
2. Prices
All prices are quoted in USD (US Dollars) unless otherwise stated. Prices are guaranteed upon booking confirmation, except in cases of significant government tax increases or drastic exchange rate fluctuations.
3. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges apply based on the date we receive written notification:
- More than 60 days before departure: Deposit forfeited
- 45-60 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
- 30-44 days before departure: 75% of total tour cost
- Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost
4. Luggage Policy (Strictly Enforced)
Due to safety regulations and space limitations in 4x4 Land Cruisers and light aircraft:
- Maximum Weight: 15kg (33lbs) per person.
- Type: Soft-sided duffel bags or backpacks only. Hard-shell suitcases are not permitted on safari sectors.
- Luggage exceeding these limits may require separate transport at the client's expense. Secure storage for excess luggage is available at our Nairobi office.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all safari bookings. Your policy must include coverage for medical emergencies, air evacuation (AMREF/Flying Doctors), trip cancellation, and repatriation.
6. Passport & eTA (Entry Requirements)
British citizens require a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of entry.
Visa: Kenya is now a visa-free country for visitors.
eTA: All visitors (including children) must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before travel. This must be applied for online via the official government portal at least 72 hours before departure. Airlines will deny boarding without an approved eTA.
7. Health & Vaccinations
We advise consulting a travel clinic 6-8 weeks before departure. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended. A Yellow Fever certificate is generally not required for entry into Kenya from the UK unless transiting through a country with risk of transmission, but regulations can change.
8. Our Responsibility
We ensure your safari is provided as described. However, we are not liable for circumstances beyond our control ("Force Majeure"), including adverse weather, mechanical breakdown of third-party flights, wildlife behavior, or changes in park regulations.
9. Complaints
If you have concerns during your safari, please raise them immediately with your driver-guide or our 24/7 operations manager. Most issues can be resolved instantly on the ground. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of your return.
10. Governing Law
These terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
